People have been making some pretty funny campaign posters for Scalzi, which he's been posting on his site.
I remember when my college fraternity was holding an election, and the candidate for president was running unopposed. Logic similar to that espoused by Scalzi persuaded me to throw my hat into the ring. I will never forget the feeling of relief when I lost! This feeling was obviously shared by the majority of my brothers.
Too bad that half of John's support base never bothered to join SFWA, and therefore can't vote for him! Now more than ever am I glad I heeded Paul Park's advice--join, he said, so you can nominate people, and get invited to the reception.
