"Un-Normality"

Although Miss Erin, in her review, didn't mean to pay "Flora Segunda" any compliments, I personally feel that being called "weird", "bizarre", and "weird" (again), and finally (the most delightful coinage of them all)--"un-normality"--to be high praise indeed!

As Moz once said, If People think I'm strange, well that's because I am...and so is Flora!

So on behalf of all the weird, bizarre and un-normal girls out there, thank you, Miss Erin!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting. Thanks for the link, too.

I am curious to know how you thought up the title, it's so clever and eye-catching. And is it the first in a series, or a stand-alone book?

Best regards!

Thanks for stopping by, Miss Erin! "Flora Segunda" is actually the first of a series of 3 books. I just finished the second one, and it will be out next year. In case you hadn't guessed already, tho', "Flora" takes place in a world that I have written about elsewhere--mostly in short stories. I'm glad you like the title--I was going for an old timey effect with it. Back in the day (the 19th century), books often had very long descriptive titles. This was before dust jackets and flap copy, so the only way tell your audiences what your book was about was by having a long subtitle. This was specially true of dime novels (the 19th century version of comic books). Since Flora is very fond of the Nini Mo novels, which have long titles, it seemed like Flora should have a long title herself!

This is probably more than you wanted to know--but thanks for asking! And I hope you'll give the next book a try--I think it leaps around a little less than the first!

Cheers...Ys
